Flat Disc Blades for No-Till Drills, Planters & Vertical Tillage
This is a flat disc blade: a smooth-edge steel disc with no concavity. Because the plate is flat, it cuts vertically with almost no side throw — it slices crop residue and root stubble and levels the surface, instead of lifting and turning soil.
Where a flat disc blade is used ?
– No-till and minimum-till seed drills — disc coulters and double-disc openers
– Planter row units — residue-manager and no-till coulters
– Vertical tillage tools — shallow residue sizing and finishing gangs
– Seed drill closing and press discs

Flat or dished — check before you order
Look at the blade from the side. A straight line means flat; an arc means dished. Flat blades cut and level; dished blades turn soil and bury residue. Flat and dished blades do not interchange on the same gang. Standard industry diameters run from 10″ to 26″ (about φ255–660 mm) with 3–8 mm thickness depending on position — always confirm against your implement.
